Spiritual Awareness

One’s personal relationship with God, the Divine, or Source brings about spiritual awareness.

Each and every one of us has the seed implanted in our heart with a desire or longing to connect with God.  That is how God designed us and created us to be . . . to love Him.

Spiritual awareness comes from within through a regular practice of prayer, meditation, contemplation and silence.

The spiritual teachings of the great spiritual teachers such as Jesus the Christ, Buddha, and Lao Tzu, to name a few, have all taught the truth.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.  –John 8:32, King James Bible

The truth is learned by listening in the silence and the stillness within.

“We need to find God, and He cannot be found in noise and restlessness.  God is the friend of silence.  See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence . . . We need silence to be able to touch souls.” –Mother Teresa

This isn’t easy, and it takes desire, readiness and dedication.  You will come to know yourself – who you are, and this will bring spiritual awareness and a connection with God.  You will come to know who you are from inside – not from the outside.  You probably already know the outside you and you may be thinking that you want to change some of the outside you.

Could your life be better?  Could your life be less stressful?  Could you be happier?

“The Kingdom of God is within you.” — Jesus

Spiritual awareness is being aware that there are far greater things in life than material things — it’s just the priority and importance in which we put them in our lives.

“But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be given you.” – Mathew 6:33

This is God’s promise to us.  Don’t you think He loves us immensely to give us anything we want?

Spiritual awareness is being aware that we are part of a whole, and we are all one.

Spiritual awareness is being aware that we are here for a reason and for each other.

Spiritual awareness is being aware that we are here to learn from good and from bad experiences.

Spiritual awareness is being aware that we have chosen it.

Spiritual awareness is being aware that we are here to love one another.

“And now these three remain; faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”  – I Corinthians 13:13
